Established in 2011 and currently under the visionary leadership of President Giuseppe Mariano and CEO Niccolò Chierroni, Blackshape has been at the forefront of innovation within general aviation ever since. The company is part of ANGEL, a privately held, Italian high-tech holding that includes some of the most innovative companies in the transportation, aerospace, and digital mechatronic sectors.

Meet Our Leadership Team

Management

Founded in 2011, Blackshape is led by President Giuseppe Mariano and CEO Niccolò Chierroni. Blackshape released their first model, the Prime, in 2012, which gained popularity worldwide. In 2019, their Gabriél BK160 model received EASA certification. Believing in the increasing need for modern military and civil training aircraft, the BK160-TR took shape in a contemporary data-driven training aircraft. Mid 2022 also this aircraft achieved EASA certification.
